SURVIVE vs THRIVE
Moving from survival into thrival requires a full mind-body-energy shift from a state of emptiness to a state of fullness.
Living in Survival Mode keeps your nervous system locked in flight-or-fight, continually repeating patterns focused and reliant on external factors, and will always leave you depleted and lacking. The only things attracted to you in this mode, are people, opportunities and experiences that will reinforce or aggravate your need to stay in survival mode.
Living in Thriving Mode allows you to flourish through life in flow, reaching higher and higher potentials, connected to your own power, purpose and prosperity, fueling you and synchronistically attracting the people, opportunities and experiences you seek to truly thrive.
Feeding a void is a dependence on seeking external things, people, substances to attempt to give you immediate but temporary pleasure, happiness and relief. This is always fleeting and causes the void, emptiness, to grow, repeating the cycle of dependence on external factors.
Fulfillment is an internal state of sustainable contentment and ease that doesn’t require anything external. Fulfillment creates a sustainable state that is unwavering.
Feeding a void is focused on external factors, repels sustainable fulfillment, keeping you empty and stuck in survival mode.
Feeding sustainable fulfillment is an introspective job - it shifts you into thriving mode.
Here are some tips that can help you make the shift from Survival to Thriving:
MIND:
pay attention to survival thinking
detach from thoughts about what “could” happen, about things you can’t control or are not worth your attention
make a habit of catching these thoughts, breathing through them and switching to something more productive, like something you’d like to achieve
practice regular shifts in thinking to things that “could” happen to you that you actually want to happen!
BODY:
give acknowledgement to your survival feelings
identify your emotions as precisely as possible - are you feeling fear, lack, threatened, anxiety and/or worry - these are survival mechanisms that are trying to protect you
identify when the first time was that you experienced this exact emotion - the body tends to bring back repeat emotions most similar to the worst that you have experienced - recognize that these emotions are just mechanisms that run automatically in response to your thoughts
physically shake out parts of your body when you notice these feelings
utilize deep breathing techniques to shift to an elevated emotional state
practice good posture, a straight spine, shoulders back and chin up
ENERGY:
once your mind and body are calm, enter a meditative state to connect to your subconscious
set intentions deeply embedded within your subconscious to allow your connection to your own clean, pure, unaffected energy to reprogram you, releasing survival mode patterns and reinstating thriving mode behaviors
allow your authentic self to give you action steps to actualize your new thriving mode
